Roehl Barreras
PROJECT INSPECTOR
Roehl was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States, with his family, when he was nine years old where they settled in San Franscisco. Roehl’s father was a civil engineer and worked for Caltrans his entire career in the United States. Following his father’s footsteps, Roehl joined Caltrans as a junior engineering technician after graduating Lowell High School and City College of San Francisco. Roehl worked on a variety of transportation projects throughout his 18-year career at Caltrans in Marin, Napa and Sonoma Counties. Roehl met his wife at a church retreat during high school and after seven years of dating, they got married in 1986. After living in Daly City for 11 years, the young family moved to San Ramon in 1997. In 2001, Roehl left Caltrans and joined the City of Dublin as a public works inspector. At the time, the City of Dublin was the fastest growing community in California. Throughout his career at the city, Roehl inspected both private development and capital projects. In 2016, he left the City of Dublin and joined Pakpour Consulting Group. Roehl is an avid gym goer and golfer having picked it up in 2010. He also enjoys fishing with his brother. The joke around the office was that Roehl barely crosses state lines, but the travel bug has finally caught up with Roehl and Suzette and they have started to travel the world in the past few years. Starting with Italy, then the Philippines (on the island of Boracay) to attend their son’s wedding, Japan, along with two trips to Europe, not to mention Hawaii.
