PAKPOUR CONSULTING GROUP SELECTED TO PROVIDE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE CHAPARRAL WAY WATERMAIN PROJECT

PLEASANTON, CA, April 5, 2006 — The Los Altos Hills County Fire District has retained Pakpour Consulting Group, Inc. (www.pcgengr.com) to provide design and construction management services for the Chaparral Way Watermain Project. Joubin Pakpour, P.E. president of Pakpour Consulting Group, made the announcement.

The Los Altos Hills County Fire District, with an annual operating budget of $5 million, provides fire protection, suppression and safety services to the Town of Los Altos Hills and portions of unincorporated Santa Clara County. The Town of Los Altos Hills is a premier Silicon Valley residential community located approximately fifteen miles north of downtown San Jose. Numerous Silicon Valley executives are residents of Los Altos Hills where the market value of unimproved lots is currently estimated at $2 million per acre.

Pakpour Consulting Group will be responsible for the preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimate and providing bid assistance and construction management for the project which consists of installing 4,300 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe along Chaparral Way to loop the system in the area. The project also includes installing 6 fire hydrants and a pressure reducing station. Pakpour Consulting Group will also work closely with residents and the LAHCFD to incorporate constructability and access concerns into the design documents. Once the project is completed, the watermain will become part of the Purissima Hills Water District distribution system. The anticipated project cost is $850,000.
