PAKPOUR CONSULTING GROUP TO PROVIDE ON-CALL DISTRICT ENGINEER SERVICES FOR BAY AREA FIRE DISTRICT

PLEASANTON, CA, Feb. 1, 2005 — The Los Altos Hills County Fire District (LAHCFD) has retained Pakpour Consulting Group, Inc. (www.pcgengr.com) as On-Call District Engineer. Joubin Pakpour, P.E. president of Pakpour Consulting Group, made the announcement.
LAHCFD is located in the Town of Los Altos Hills, CA, approximately 35 miles south of San Francisco. The District, with an annual operating budget of $5 million, provides fire protection, suppression and safety services to Los Altos Hills and portions of unincorporated Santa Clara County.
Pakpour Consulting Group will be responsible for conducting hydraulic modeling for the District’s $300,000 Chaparral Water Main Extension Project. The firm will also work closely with District staff to optimize locations of new fire hydrants.
“This project is very important to the District as it will increase our ability to fight brush fires in fire protection hilly sections where there are no fire hydrants or water mains,” said Stuart Farwell, LAHCFD consultant. “We’ll rely on Pakpour Consulting Group to work closely with residents and incorporate constructability and access concerns into relevant design documents. The firm will also prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates and provide bid assistance and construction management services.”
